Hey there, reader! Regardless of what led you to this blog post, I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Reagan, and I am lucky enough to be a part of Sunshine Juice Company! I’m a juicer, a smoothie-maker, a dish-washer, a wrap-prepper, mylk-presser, and more…. just like the rest of our team. Sunshine Juice Company is all about team work making the dream work!
Today I want to invite you into a day in the life of a Juicing Day! We work hard every day of the week at SJC, but juicing days are exceptionally busy! We’ve got our routine down nearly to a science, and since some of you readers are on the receiving end of our product, I thought you might be a bit interested in the process!
After preparing the juicing bags, which are specific to each drink, and assembling different parts to the juicer, the early morning start time arrives. Dream Weaver. You’re first in the line-up. Oranges are pressed, twice over… and strained into the Dream Weaver dispenser. Then, it’s time to really get to work with the shredder! Carrots are shredded and then pressed, twice over… and strained into the Dream Weaver dispenser, completing the batch of Dream Weaver – it’s off to be bottled and dated!
The process has only just begun, though. Carrots, beets, and turmeric are shredded and pressed, twice over… and the addition of cold-pressed limes completes Upbeet. Then, the juicer is slightly disassembled to be cleaned. Pink Drink follows with the cold-pressing of strawberries and grapefruit. Cranberries are pressed for a fresh batch of Hero! And then… once more… the shredder. Apples, pears, and ginger are shredded and pressed for their respective drink batches.
At this point, we’re about 2.5-3 hours into our juicing day. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better… it’s time for beautiful greens! The greens fill the air with the freshest, most natural aromas. All of the hard work that goes into this process can be labor intensive, but yet wonderful. We are blessed to create such a natural, truly organic, nutritious product for our families, friends, and beloved customers!
Spinach, lemons, parsley, kale, romaine, cucumbers, and celery all happen and contribute to some of our best sellers – like Mean Green. The juicing process comes to a close with our newest juice – the Crazy 8. Bell peppers and tomatoes are the last to hit the juicer. It’s safe to say our bloody-Mary inspired juice takes our juicing process out with a bang! So delish. So rewarding! Time to clean…
Thanks for taking a peak into a juicing day with us! We’d love to see you soon!
Open M-F 8-5pm and Sat 9-4pm
